Safer Screen workshops provide an engaging, interactive opportunity for Key Stage 2 pupils to explore how the internet and screen use influence their everyday lives. Designed to go beyond generic online safety sessions and aligned with the PSHE curriculum, the workshops support thoughtful discussion around the benefits and challenges of smartphones, iPads, social media, and gaming.

Pupils develop a clearer understanding of how they spend their time online and are supported to make informed choices that promote their wellbeing. The workshops also examine how persuasive technology shapes behaviour, helping children develop healthier digital habits through fun, age-appropriate activities.

As smartphones and social media have become embedded in childhood with little formal education, there is now a clear need to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world responsibly. Supporting this shift is an important part of creating long-term cultural change.

The programme is designed by One Collective Power founder Nova Eden, who has worked closely with senior officials and policymakers at the UK Department for Education to support meaningful change across schools nationwide.

“One Collective Power is leading a vital movement to protect children and young people from the growing risks associated with modern technology. Their work is incredibly important for parents, students and educators
